System requirements
Windows.
General
Requirements for using the app on your
- Laptop
- Desktop computer
- Windows tablet
are with at least 4 GB main memory and at least 500 MB free space on the disk/SSD. A 64 bit operating system is required.
Recommendation
An “inexpensive” notebook device with Windows 10 64bit (x86) and a price starting at CHF 500 is sufficient to use beook and other applications. Optimal screen resolution: 1960×1080.
Operating system
Your device should be equipped with one of the following operating systems:
- Windows 10 64 bit
- Windows 11 64 bit
Restrictions
The app generally does not run on tablets with the Microsoft SQ1 processor (Qualcomm Snapdragon), such as the Microsoft Surface Pro X. However, you can work around this with this beta program from Microsoft, allowing you to use 64-bit (x86) apps on the Surface Pro X device.
The app must be obtained through this website and is not available in the Microsoft Store. Therefore, Windows 10 cannot be run in S mode.
Note
If the app does not open after the update, this can often be traced back to the HP Wolf Security antivirus program. It moves the file “libEGL.dll” to quarantine. Please deactivate this programme or check the quarantine and try again.

You can use the beook app on one of the following devices with at least 8 GB main memory and at least 500 MB free disk space:
- MacBook Pro
- MacBook
- MacBook Air
- Mac Pro
- iMac
On devices with the Apple Silicon processor (M1), the app works fully under Rosetta 2.
Recommendation
Every modern MacBook is perfect for beook.
Operating system
Your Mac should have one of the following operating systems installed:
- macOS Ventura 13
- macOS Monterey 12
- macOS Big Sur 11
- macOS Catalina 10.15

iOS.
General
The app runs on
- iPad Air 2 / iPad Pro and newer
- iPhone 7 or newer
- Compatible with iPhone X and newer
Models:
- WIFI or 3G
- 16, 32 or 64 GB
In addition, your iOS device should have at least 250MB of free memory.
Recommendation
The iPad 2020 with Wifi, 32 GB, is reasonably priced (approx. CHF 330.-, as of 2021) and offers excellent value for money.

Requirements for using the app on
- Android tablets and smartphones
- At least. 1 GB main memory
- 7″, 10″ or similar and smartphones
In addition, your device should have at least 350 MB free memory.
Recommendation
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A, 9.7 inch, 32 GB, Wifi is a powerful Android tablet and can be had for around CHF 200. In general, it is also worth investing in additional GB for Android tablets.
