How people learn is usually very individual, but it is always important to structure, prepare and practise new content according to your own system. beook offers you various possibilities for this, for example working with different colours. When creating notes or markers, you always have the choice of four different colours: yellow, blue, green and red. Colour differentiation can help you group information and notes together. Elements grouped by colour can be filtered in the annotation column or sent by email as a summary using the export function. Use this feature! How exactly is up to you and your own learning system. One possibility as a suggestion:
Yellow = general annotations
Blue = notes relevant to the examination
Green = Cross references, further information, sources
Red = open questions, uncertainties
Change colour and transparency of markers
Click on the symbol with the pencil in the top right corner
In the pop-up you can then select the desired colour and its transparency. You can also switch the "Active Marking" function on and off there. If active, every text you select with the cursor will be coloured (On the tablet versions this function works by sliding your finger over the text)

Now mark a text in the chosen colour.
If you want to delete a marker, mark the position again and then either click on the delete button in the pop-up or right-click to open the context menu and select "Delete marker".

For each type of note, you can choose the colour with which it should be highlighted and coloured.
Coloured markers & notes filter in the annotation column
Switch to the annotation column. All annotations like notes, markers, editable fields and image enhancements can be displayed in the annotation column. The annotations can be filtered by colour, type and area (content/tasks). On the left side the table of contents with the filtered annotations is displayed, either completely or only with the existing entries. Annotations can be edited directly on the right side. A link takes you from the note to its placed position in the content. All colours are active by default. On the left side, where otherwise the table of contents is located, you will see all notes and markings of the chapter, no matter in which colour they are.
Now adjust the filter to your needs by selecting two colours, for example. You will now only see the markings and notes of the colours still selected.
