New image editor option: Under General settings select External SVG program.

This allows the image to be opened, edited, saved and re-imported in any program.

Recommendation: freeware Inkscape.

If the first time you select this option, no program selection appears and the image is opened in another program, then in Windows under

System Preferences/Standard App/Select Default App/SVG by File Type to select the file type
