From version 7.0 onwards, beook offers teachers the possibility to control which tasks the students can display the solutions and corrections for. The following case study shows the individual steps in detail.
Requirements to be able to share the permissions to correct tasks or view solutions with a class:
- Teacher has the general sharing authorisation (this can otherwise be requested here). This authorisation is already stored in the teacher bundles. If you have purchased such a bundle, you already have the sharing authorisation.
- Teacher is authorised to share entitlements: this authorisation is already stored in the teacher bundles. If you have purchased such a bundle, you already have this authorisation.
- Learner is authorised to receive the permissions: For learner bundles, this authorisation is already stored.
We also recommend that both learners and teachers briefly update their account and licences in the user administration (click on the user name in the top right-hand corner of the portal > "Update account and licences").
Overview of the individual steps:
- Create group
- Adding learners to the group
- Create a dossier: in the ebook, add the permissions to the dossier via the export arrow for the corresponding tasks.
- Send dossier
Create group
Let's assume the following scenario: You as a teacher give a class the task of solving 9 tasks on the topic of "illuminants" and want the learners to be able to correct the tasks themselves at the same time.
In this case, we first create a group in which we include all class members:
To do this, click on the "Share and Cloud" icon in the bottom right-hand corner of the app and then click on Group Administration at the top. Here you can now create a group, give it a name and immediately add the ebooks that you will use with the learners in this class. Shared contents of the ebooks selected here are automatically accepted by the group participants.
Adding learners to the group
After the group has been created, an access code is displayed. You can now distribute this code to the learners in the class.
Learners can now join the group by also going to "Share and Cloud" and entering the code under "Memberships":
As a teacher, you can now confirm the respective requests in the detail view of the group:
The group is already created and you can now continuously add all the content you want to share with this group to a dossier and send it to the group.
Create a dossier
Now you can switch to the tasks in the ebook, which the learners should solve and then correct immediately. You can select several tasks in the overview column. Then you can add them to the dossier with a right click or via the export arrow. You can select whether the authorisation for the correction display or the solution display should be shared. You can also add both permissions to the dossier. In addition, you also have the option of withdrawing the permissions in this way. The permissions are then added to the dossier and can be shared in this way.
Note: If you also want to share subtasks, make sure that the menu is folded out and that you have also selected the respective subtasks. As of version 7.0.3, the subtasks no longer have to be selected individually.
Send dossier
As soon as you have done this for each exercise for which you want to assign the permission, you can switch to the dossier via the "Share and Cloud" icon. There you will find the respective permissions listed. You can now give the dossier a title and write a message for your learners and then send the dossier to the learners in your group by clicking on "Send" at the bottom.
After sending, the consignment is listed under "Consignments". Clicking on the respective consignment opens the detailed view and you can jump directly to the respective exercise:
The view for the learners is the same. Now the learners can jump directly to the tasks, solve them and correct them immediately.
If you want to withdraw the authorisation for the correction function, you can do this in the same way as this procedure - simply select "Withdraw correction" and then send the dossier.
